Cannabis oil during chemo

Hi everyone,

I have seen a couple other threads on this topic but didn't quite get the answer I am looking for. Does anyone know if there are any reasons one cannot take concentrated cannabis oil while also doing chemo? Has anyone discussed this with their doctor? I'm talking oil derived from the cannabis plant itself that is high in CBD (where the medical benefits come from) and low in THC (where the "high" comes from). I imagine since people can eat/smoke cannabis while doing chemo to help with nausea/pain, they would also be able to take it in this form, but I am not sure. And I don't know how to broach the subject with my doctor. I am Stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma and would like to try everything possible, but don't want things to interfere with each other. For example, I am taking turmeric supplements but was advised not to take them in the first few days before and after a chemo dose because it counteracts the chemo...thanks for any info you have.
