I am starting a thread here; I think important.  Those of us with DCIS with microinvasion may not have a much bigger chance of awful things in the future, but, still, we have had a (minor) invasive cancer.  Pure DCIS cannot invade.  We have a very, very remote chance of upstaging, mets, etc.  Very remote, but it puts us somewhere else.  Not just pure DCIS, which cannot be systemic, and not quite Stage 1 (though we are, technically).  I have fears, being DCIS-MI.  All ladies in this catagory, please respond.  I am in between Worlds.  I am not HER2 Pos, and there is already a forum for that, but I am also not non-invasive.  There must be many of us.  Love- Percy xx

    Thanks for starting this thread. I received my biopsy result last Thursday, and was told I have DCIS grade 2 with micro invasive carcinoma. I have a consultation with a breast surgeon on Tuesday. I appreciate this site in terms of helping me prepare for the appointment and ask the right questions to help me as I have to make decisions on treatment. Especially so many of Beesie's posts! I have a lot more to learn about my diagnosis, I'm sure I will be back here after Tuesday. Thanks.
