Love it, Mag!!
-
lover, you really can't tell if she's smiling or going to take your face off!
Sent this to a friend who is a Disney freak and just had a diep flap reconstruction done.
I thought the Guitar was digital. Susan, I'll see if I can figure where it came from. Any news on what sex the baby is? .
-
smarrty, they want to be surprised. I am having such a hard time with all of it. I feel like I am a big baby these days. Never thought I would live to see a grandchild, and I was ok with that eventually. Now i will live to see this wonderful event, but what if they end up in Nebraska? Or Louisiana, or Kentucky? To far farme to drive, and not suppose to be on planes...so I gave a grandchild I can't visit?? I cry a lot these days. I feel I am being very narcissistic, and that is so not me. Won't know where they will end up till march....trying hard not to worry about things not in my control. So hard sometimes. Sorry for purging:(
-
no worries. Purge as needed. I did find out that when DGD has the baby only her hubby and mom will be there.
If they are out of driving range when the time comes, try to use FaceTime or Skype. You can watch the whole thing that way. I was lucky to see 4 out of 6 grand babies born. It's hard to watch your kid go through labor!

A young guy from North Dakota moves to Florida and goes to a big "everything under one roof" department store looking for a job.
The Manager says, "Do you have any sales experience?" The kid says "Yeah. I was a vacuum salesman back in North Dakota."
Well, the boss was unsure, but he liked the kid and figured he'd give him a shot, so he gave him the job.
"You start tomorrow. I'll come down after we close and see how you did."
His first day on the job was rough, but he got through it. After the store was locked up, the boss came down to the sales floor.
"How many customers bought something from you today?" The kid frowns and looks at the floor and mutters, "One". The boss says "Just one?!!? Our sales people average sales to 20 to 30 customers a day.
That will have to change, and soon, if you'd like to continue your employment here. We have very strict standards for our sales force here in Florida. One sale a day might have been acceptable in North Dakota, but you're not on the farm anymore, son."
The kid took his beating, but continued to look at his shoes, so the boss felt kinda bad for chewing him out on his first day. He asked (semi-sarcastically), "So, how much was your one sale for?"
The kid looks up at his boss and says "$101,237.65".The boss, astonished, says $101,237.65?!? What the heck did you sell?"
The kid says, "Well, first, I sold him some new fish hooks. Then I sold him a new fishing rod to go with his new hooks. Then I asked him where he was going fishing and he said down the coast, so I told him he was going to need a boat, so we went down to the boat department and I sold him a twin engine Chris Craft. Then he said he didn't think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I took him down to the automotive department and sold him that 4x4 Expedition."
The boss said "A guy came in here to buy a fish hook and you sold him a boat and a TRUCK!?"
The kid said "No, the guy came in here to buy tampons for his wife, and I said, 'Dude, your weekend's shot, you should go fishing -

FF, that duck getting vacuumed is funny.
We had a cat that loved to be vacuumed, he would come running as soon as he heard it start up. Even the big old shop vac, couldn't get enough! He was scared of it, until one time (this was years ago before proper flea treatments) he got a bad flea infestation & in my frustration, I grabbed him & started to try to vacuum some of them off. He struggled to get away & then within a minute he relaxed and realized it felt really good!
After that, I never vacuumed alone again... GG
-
cats are weird!!
-
Wonderful story GG. Wish Arthur was like that. He is no longer totally psycho around the vacuum, but certainly not relaxed...
-
Squeakers will come up to sniff the vacuum while it's on. Doesn't care about it at all. He's pretty chill about most things. I think our foster cat, Rusty, has the normal cat reaction so I keep the door closed if I'm vacuuming where he can see it.

Boyfriend Pierre and I did a Christmas pub crawl with friends over the weekend. It was great fun. I also had a consult with a tattoo artist who does mastectomy tattoos. I have my appointment for floral tattoos across my chest on February 12th!
