Woah been off the net for 24 hours and have missed all the hot "stuff"
Julie, Ireland is only a hop skip and a jump away from France ....how about a weekend here while you are in the neighbourhood
Here is my blood moon story:
1) 8pm: I bring DD's BF home to her house from ours. DD and I witness fabulous golden yellow "supermoon" big in the sky. Lovely.
2) 3am in the morning DH's 20yo son away at college texts DH (who keeps phone by the bed) "look at the moon Dad" causing shock awakening shaking with adrenalin (not happy)
3) 3.05am DH says he will get up and look at the moon (promise you he would not have done this if I had suggested it). He makes sensible suggestion that he will call me if the moon is worth seeing.
4) 3.10am DH calls me. Grudgingly, very grudgingly, I get up with a really bad grace
5) 3.12am Moon (while admitedly red) is a PINPRICK in the sky barely visible to the naked eye. Maybe if I had a telescope....
6) AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! (This has not done wonders for my bad attitude.)

Okay Sass ..... which Richard Clayton is it.... Do we get to choose? Your's didn't come through........I googled that name, and there are a zillion.

JulieCC, thanks so much for the braver, stronger, smarter post.
Saving for future needs and sharing.

DIL took a photo of the moon using her bird spotting scope and her phone. Wonderful image. I would never have thought of doing it.
-
Love Louis Armstrong's Wonderful World video!!! He had a very special and unique voice
-
-
I once heard he had cocaine in the hanky he always had. Great musician anyway.
-
Wren, I had to google "bird spotting scope" as I had not heard of these before - what a cool gadget and clever of your DIL to think of using it as a telephoto lens with her phone.

Ha ha ha SAS lol

I love the kitty in the box.
Update for Sas and Chevy on the coworker who said she was going to wear pink as much as possible to support me in the month of October. She was a very good listener as I explained the reasons why many women that have breast cancer have a big problem with pink and the month of October...from pink washing to companies slapping pink ribbons on their labels to make a profit. She is much younger than me and going through a cervical cancer scare so I tbelieve that she really had good intentions. I like to use October to educate the masses through Facebook and in real life!

I was looking for something, and found all this "stuff!" So fun remembering ALL of these.... I know most of you are much younger, but this was "our" life!

Hi Chevy I am 48 but clicked on your link anyway. First thing my eye beheld - Vintage 3d plastic Nativty Scene - I had that EXACT one (pretty sure they were all made in China). It was one of my treasured posessons. (Probably in 1970's Ireland we were only catching up with 1950's America )
XX Susanna
