Hello Lekker, glad your dad is doing better with his furbaby there. Welcome here and come often with pics and things. sassyAs a general reading thing for others. Around 10 or more years ago after the advent earlier of therapy animals in the 90's, many hospital, rehab nursing homes, and assisted living facilities realized that patients did better with their furbabies. Generally, all that has to be done to get a visit approved is ask the nurse or supervisor. They will ask for a copy of the shot record. They will, also, ask that the animal have a bath before the visit. With a close look at making sure they're no fleas. Most places are really quite cooperative.

awwwww those furbabies are cute!

What a sweet little girl!!!
When mom was in nursing homes and rehab, I just asked if I could bring my boys in. Always yes! They liked going, grandma had cookie. And the other residents just ate them up.

A co-worker was raising a seeing eye puppy, bringing him to work pretty often. He flunked out of seeing eye school due to a food allergy and she turned him into a therapy dog. Already good mannered and sweet - not a difficult transition.
-
OH my goodness Lekker, where do you live? I am going to come over and dognap that little darling. I love her innocent eyes
-
my boys, RIP.

Spookiesmom, Isn't it so hard to lose our pets? I wish they lived much longer.
