Rosevalley I absolutely love your turn of phrase "can't sit still long enough to finish an idea" - perfect!
I heard a new phrase yesterday "screenagers" - the ones who converse while scrolling on their smartphones etc Trouble is while (rightly) lamenting youth behaving like this I'm acutely aware of many in my own generation behaving similarly. If our generation doesn't have the collective maturity to deal with the cubicle in the pocket then how do we expect the kids to?

Arthur is beautiful. Just want to rub that cute kitty belly!
-
Yes, and kiss his forehead!

I love you Arthur!

Seriously.... Am EYE the only one on this planet who does not own a smart-phone, a tablet, laptop or a whatever?
All I have is a computer! I am so outdated! But I have a camera.... AND a micro-wave!

Chevy no smartphone or tablet for me either. However DH has them so the house is infected! I seriously dislike constant connectivity, I like to choose the times!
A few years ago I replaced all the cordless landlines in the house with the old fashioned corded type so that I would stop answering calls while trying to do something else at the same time! This was a small stress-relief step in my life

Chevy, I don't own a smartphone either. Not b/c I don't like techie stuff. I'm cheap. I'll get one when DS has a child. The phone I have now is from 2003--Antique.
Injuries from talking and or texting while walking are one of the highest numbered reasons for ER visits, especially between 16 and 25.

Felingfeline- I have to try posting a picture of my old man Percy-cat, also known as Mr. Rumbles. (You can hear him purring across a room) He's 14 going on 15 and looks very much like your Arthur only with more red. They even have the same white socks and ringed tails! I just LOVE Percy.
