    This is fascinating. I think they're getting ever closer and some day they're going to find it's the simplest thing that turns cancer around, some drug that's been used forever for other disease. Just hope they hustle.

    Boy, the news for Her+2 breast cancer (and other cancers that are Her2+) just gets better and better with the passage of time.  In 2009 I was told my situation was dire.  I'm thinking I might live to be a very old woman.

    Sounds like the stuff of science fiction. I think it could be useful even for those of us who are not HER2+ at diagnosis.

    HER2-positive CTCs can be detected in a relevant number of patients with HER2 negative primary tumors. (Up to 50%, depending on group being studied.)
