Anyone have Infection or Wound delay radiation?

I had bmx 4 weeks ago and radiation is supposed to start in less than 2 weeks but I have an open wound that developed along the scar line and an infection that is being treated with antibiotics. Has anyone w=experienced this and lived to tell the tale?
