Hi all! Has anyone else had the strange sensation that there's something in the back of their throat? Although it doesn't impact my ability to breathe, it also doesn't go away although I drink tons of warm water -- appeared within the last month. Finished A/C/T back in September 2013. I will be meeting with my OC this week but wanted to know what others have experienced prior to meeting with doctor. Thank you!

I didn't have chemo so I can't speak to that. I did have what felt like a lump in my throat starting about 3 mo after dx. I never really figured it out. My doc said he thought it was anxiety. I think he's right because I didn't have it when I first woke up, but when my brain started whirling it'd come back. I don't have it much anymore, but it was quite disconcerting at the time.

Another possibility for that lump  in the throat feeling is laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR). It's kind of like GERD but affects the tissue in the throat rather than the esophagus. Google it and check out the list of symptoms. My mom had it pretty bad after her chemo for ovarian cancer.
