Well, my mother had breast cancer at 54 and when she was in the hospital after her surgery (aggressive cancer w 11 lymph nodes involved) she got very sick.  WHY?  because they gave her penicillin for preventing infection.  Turns out she was allergic.  Had never had antibiotics!!!  So in her case there isn't a link.  I also have taken few antibiotics in my life.  But I DO swear by probiotics for the immune system so there may be some reason there is a link for some people.  I do believe that a healthy gut is important to our overall health and that our low fiber, high sugar/carb diet in this country is doing us a disservice in many ways.

    Solen, I completely agree.

Srh242, You can look in probiotics on amazon and find the ones w/ saccharomyces cervasaie in it by doing a search.  Also, if you look at the beta glucans, some of them exclusively contain saccharomyces cervasaie. I usually buy the Jarrow formula.

Light, thanks, as always, for the great links about sac. c. I'm already getting beta glucans from eating oatmeal every day, and taking maitake supplements, but this is another form that looks very beneficial. They seem to work against BC on different pathways, and I think the more angles we can attack from, the better our chances at beating the BC. I plan on getting some. (btw, Srh242, you can find it on vitacost.com, and amazon.com)

Given the amount of research you have done, Light, and the interesting linkages you've made, I really hope you are writing some research papers!
