Mentor "Gummy Bear" implants; how flat are they really?
Ok, so as some of you might have seen in my other post, I am now facing a few choices as far as my reconstruction goes. My PS wants to put anatomicals in, and I do agree. The only thing is that the hospital only works with Mentor. I read a lot of bad things about them; mainly that they give wide and flat results. Anyone have them? If so, are you happy with your results? Do they really have little projection?
Thanks... I dont know what I'd do without these boards!!

Go to Breast Implant Sizing 101 for answers from Whippetmom and others. Be sure to read ALL of the info at the top of the thread. Click on the links towards the end of the manufacturers data and you can compare.

Thanks Sandra. How have you been? I hope you are happy with the results of your last surgery and that all your pain is gone :-)
I did read big parts of the thread and I did talk with Whippetmom (pm'ed her). It is a long thread and it is sometimes a little difficult to find info on a specific implant for that reason. I am being lazy I will go back and read more. But if anyone else has experience with that implant, please do share :-)

I'm hanging in there. Fighting depression right now. I know this is common after exchange surgery so I'm not overly concerned. I'm really tired of feeling discomfort. I haven't had a good day since the day before surgery #1 in August. Something always hurts or limits me in some way. We went on a cruise last week and I found it difficult to tolerate all the people, lights, and noise for much longer than an hour without having to recover a bit in my cabin. <sigh>

i am so sorry to hear that you are still having discomfort :-(
Are you feeling depressed because of the pain or the outcome? I am so sorry... like you need that on top of all the surgeries, right? I hope you have a good support system around you and that you have somewhere to go if you need to talk. Sending hugs!!

I do have a person to contact. If things don't improve by next week, I'll go see her.

You are a warrior, you will get through this!
Too bad the cruise didn't help... wish I was going on one, I could use some sun and warmth right now
