Dear Ladies,

Before the BC diagnosis, I was a runner.  I am now getting back to a fitness program, and would like to start running again soon.  I had a BMX with reconstruction (implants).  I have not been able to find any athletic bras with which I am comfortable.  Does anyone have any suggestions for athletic bras for women in my situation?

kayb - I just saw your first post. I will look into Fiona and Bendon Max Out. Anything I tried so far both fits too much like a glove and does not provide enough support. Just weird. Maybe it's just the nature of having implants. i also have two different sizes of implants - one is 300 and the other is 375 although they provide equal projection. Running does require a special type of athletic bra - I can do cross training even without a bra but running is not the same. I am very anxious to get back to it.

so happy to be able to ask others about sports bras. First, anyone know if I will start to sag if I don't wear a bra?  Second, anyone having difficulty with rubbing over your port? Thx

my PS says that if I would like my implants to stay where they are then you need to wear a bra everyday and even find a sleeping bra!  I was a 32 DD before my mascetomy and I'm happy to say I'm right back where I started!!!! (Sientra textured round 550cc) but to keep those bad boys where he put them I sometimes need to wear two bras depending on the activity.  I found the Wacol sports bra to be amazing. (They only have one type) Very comfortable and very supportive. But on heavy workout (read the girls will be moving up and down a lot) I found it was still not enough  so I added a pull on bra (moving comfort) over top of this Wacol.

I also spent about two hours at Nordstrom with a bra fitting expert and she really really helped me out!  I highly recommend that too!!'  They are quite familiar with mast and recon!
