Has anyone been done with chemo at least 6mths, had neuropathy during treatment?  Id like to know if ur neuropathy still exists.  a) how long did it exist?  b) did u do anything to accelerate getting feeling back?  c) did u take Herceptin, if so, did it last or get worse thru this drug?

I had TCH X6. My neuropathy started around TX 4. I still have it. I take B complex vitamins that seem to help. I am also on a low dose of Lasix for the swelling in my hands & feet. I don't think the Herceptin made it any worse. Some days are worse than others. The cold weather has made it worse for me.

Thx.  My swelling went down about 3 mths after chemo.  I also find working out is restoring it....but I think that's b/c u get the blood flowing...I had the feeling coming back, then got a dose of Hercep, and it went numb again.

I had one dose of taxotere in Nov and only in the last couple of weeks am experiencing (confirmed by internal medicine doc) peripheral neuropathy in legs and feet. I also have aches in hands but not as bad as feet and legs.

Hi joan, my doctor said he couldn't predict if it would last forever or when it might go away. I have to believe it will go away because it is too depressing thinking it is here to stay. I hope your goes away before two years.
