hi ladies I looked through the forum and couldn't find anything :( I had my first chemo of dose dense ACT last wed got the neulasta shot  Thursday went yesterday for counts and my wbc was 0.06 and they put me on levaquin. What's bothering me is now I'm walking around with no defense, I put chemicals in my body that cause it and next week I do it all over again. Since being dx with stage IV bc this news kind of bothered me emotional. How can I fight with 0.06 WBC?? Don't get me wrong i bless the chemo because its supposed to kill the cancer but I'm like I don't want to get really sick from something not related to bc. Like a cold or flu from someone. Thanks for listening. I need positive vibes telling I'm going to be okay

Garlikbread, I felt the same as you when I was on my chemo. I also did neulasta but my counts dropped down extremely low every time, even with the shot. I was put on a course of antibiotics (Cipro) with each chemo infusion, and I didn't get any infections. Wash your hands often and stay away from large crowds while your counts are down. I also wore a mask if I had to go to the store. You will get through this and hopefully those counts will come up soon!
