Does the texture of your hair change after chemo?

Hello fellow survivors!  I'm status post partial right mastectomy, 6 rounds of chemo, 7 weeks of rads.  I completed chemo July 21, 2013.  My hair started growing back in early October.  The texture of my hair is really silky and curly (see picture).  Almost like a newborn baby!  LOL.  My question is do the texture of your hair change back to normal?  At what point does it start to change?  I don't really remember what my hair looked in it's original state before any relaxers.  Please help!
