My left breast has been swollen almost a full cup size larger than my right breast with itchiness, major pain, and redness (slight) for about a month now. I went to my gyn doc on Friday 1/17/14 and he said he was pretty sure it was IBC and set up a mammogram for this morning 1/20/14. I went in, got squished, and they told me to wait a few minutes for the radiologist to read the scans. After about 10 minutes they came back and said the radiologist wanted me immediately in ultrasound. I get the results from these on wed 1/22/14 but I am just so scared. I am 31 years old, had a full hysterectomy in 2008, and have 2 children. Any advice to keep from scaring myself further?

I do hope it's an infection, glad you went to have this checked.  You have one more day, keep busy.  Worrying is not going to change the results.  There's lots of help here if you need it.

so the mammogram and ultrasound just showed one little cyst. So my doc said there's no way it's IBC because those tests didn't show a lump and because I don't have ALL the symptoms. He refuses to order an MRI or biopsy. He says now that it's fibrocystic. I looked that up and it has to do with hormones, and is not present in post menopausal women. I had a full hysterectomy and no HRT since 2008!!!! I can't have that! Now I'm freaking out even more!!!!! What do I do??? Please help!
