BRCA recommendations

I had breast cance in 1995 and 97, and just had an abnormail mammagram because of microcalcfications..  Thankfully, the biopsy came back benign.  My dr. recommended the BRCA testing, but Medicare said they do not cover it.  Does anyone have any recommendations on affordable places to have this done?  I read it can cost 300 to $3000, which is too expensive for me.
