I guess I'll start!  I am a little over one year out from my BMX.  I am hoping to simply start living life again!  I am hoping for more energy and fewer side effects.  The last year is a fog.  I am ready to rejoin the world and my family.  Hoping to think of cancer a little less each day and to get my mojo back! (Sorry if that's too much information) Happy new year to all!

My resolution is pretty simple ... drop five pounds and find a new business client.  I like to keep it simple.  Mostly I'm just hoping for a year that doesn't suck like 2013!

    hugs,

    Bren

PS .. Happy New Year to the mods!  You've done a fabulous job this year!

I think the most awesome New Year's resolution I ever heard anyone make (on another forum) was "Eat More Bacon..."

I never make resolutions. I always ended up breaking them anyway, and why should things be any different on January first of each year?

Instead, I choose my Word For The Year. In 2013, it was "OPPORTUNITY".

I looked for opportunities wherever I went. Crap happening that was driving me crazy? Gave me an opportunity to try something different.

Mean neighbor trying to do something in his yard and having trouble... gave us an opportunity to be good neighbors and help him out and repair our relationship with him.

Someone telling me a story that just makes my teeth fall asleep I'm so bored? Gave me an opportunity to be an active listener to someone who probably doesn't have many friends anyway....

Seeing sad, lonely, isolated elderly people slumped over in wheelchairs in the nursing home where MIL is? Gave us the opportunity to be substitute children to them and visit them when we go there. Smiles are worth a million bucks.

Not sure what next year's word will be. I'd better hurry up and decide, though.

Blessings - sounds to me like you have already thought of the new word - "Blessings" - sounds like that is what you are to those around you!

I NEVER MAKE THEM.....THEN YOUR NOT DISAPPOINTED WHEN YOU DON'T KEEP THEM.....

It's easier to live life each day like it is your last..how...

Being kind, loving, learning to say I'm sorry, not taking things for granted, say yes when you can....remembering to say "no" when you can't.........laugh more......cry less......always remembering everyone has a story to tell........listen to theirs.....then decide should you be crying.......

    Most of all..........family first.......

No actual resolutions as I agree most are never kept anyway.  Intend to continue to workout regularly(which I already do), save more pennies (need to work on), and be kinder to others.

Happy New Years to everyone including our wonderful mods. Thanks for all you do. Wishing for peace, prosperity, happiness and better health for us all.

    Well girls,

I've already blown my New Year's resolution!  I'm sitting here working (good thing) and eating a pile of Dove milk chocolates (bad, bad, bad thing).  How am I ever going to drop the 7 pounds I picked up this year at this rate.

On the positive side, I am feeling so much more hopeful for 2014 than I did in 2013.  I realized I was so hope-less for a very long time.  It feels good to look forward to the future again.

    hugs,

    Bren
