Femara vs. the generic Letrozole

I'm wondering what your experience is with using the brand Femara or the generic Letrozole?  Is the compounding better with the brand? Is the brand "stronger" than the generic?  My pharmacist stated that the generic is an approved FDAdrug.  She mentioned that she prescribes more of the generic than the brand.  I just want to take the best drug but the cost is so different.

I am switching from Tamoxifen to Letrozole next week after my ooph. surgery.  I found out that the cost for the generic is $6.50 for 30 days and for the brand $295.  A huge cost difference.  The generic is made in India and I believe the brand is made in USA.

I have had no side effects with Tamoxifen and it will be interesting if I have se's with the switch.

I started on Femara as generic/letrozole was not available then.  I can't see/feel any differences since between name brand Femara and generic  letrozole,.
