My mother has lost feeling on the side of her breast

Hello everyone,

My mother has lost feeling on her breast.  It's on the breast where they removed some of her lymph nodes.  It's not the whole breast.  Just on the outside near the lymph nodes.  Has anyone else experienced this?

    When did she have surgery? Having an extended area of numbness after lymph node removal is very normal.  It can last for months. My arm was numb down to the elbow for 4 months, and the area around my underarm was numb for a couple of months longer than that.

    It is definitely normal to be numb after nodes are removed. It still feels a little wierd & it's almost 7 years for me!!!!

    Me too, I only had a SNB and one node removed, but 1 year out and I am still numb under that arm.
