Hi Lissaa - you will have a lot of responses if you post this in the "Young with BC" forum. Janet xx -
Hi Lissaa,
I'm sorry I did not see your post earlier. I'm 52, but I wanted to tell you how sorry I am about your diagnosis. Hearing the words 'breast cancer' is shocking and scary at any age, and I can only imagine that it is more so for a younger woman. You will find a lot of support and information here. It's great for all of us to have a place where we can talk about all of the concerns that this disease brings with it. The initial shock is awful, it actually helps for most women when they have a treatment plan and are able to actively be 'doing something' to fight the disease. Do you know any of the specifics of your diagnosis? One of the first things that my oncologist told me is that this should really be referred to as breast cancer's' - because there are actually many different types. I am sending you many, many ((hugs)). -
Hi Lissaa,
I was just diagnosed too and I'm 28. I would be happy to chat. I know I have a lot of questions and could use a friend my age too 😊

I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. We're too young for this shit!

-
hey,
I am 24 but was diagnosed when I was 23. Just one month before my diagnosis I found out I was pregnant. By now I'm 7 months and I had 6 rounds of chemo. After my baby is born I will have a mastectomy.

Lydia - You are so young - I am 43. Keep reaching out to others on this board - you will find support here. It's a life line for me. What kind of bc do you have? I only ask because there are specific threads you can find support at for your specific type of bc.
Feel free to pm me.
Hugs to you.

I was diagnosed last year at age 26. Had a bilateral mastectomy, egg preservation, and finished chemo a few months ago and am now on hormonal treatment. Please feel free to PM me.
