My Tribute is just for the arm but I did worry about my violin pressing against my upper chest when I played (even though I told the PA who does these about that concern) Since ports are surgically inserted, I think they are designed to be pretty stable however you could call your clinic for an opinion. You might need to take the garment with you to show how it is fitted.

My seatbelt also used to rub across the area so I got a sleeve to wrap around it and create a little space. Probably not a big deal however that made it more comfortable. Come to think of it, we just traded that car in. Don't remember if I retrieved that item!

Anyway, I do know that there is a rare chance of the tubing kinking or clotting off - that's why it has to be flushed periodically when it's not being used for access.

I tried to describe how we "chin string" players hold our instrument so he could adjust the location if possible. The port ended up right where my shoulder rest hits the body. I suppose position is dictated by blood vessel access, etc. especially on a petite person which means other factors are less important.

There is a scar now that it's out. Sometimes it can be hidden by a tank top strap or swimsuit that has a halter style neckline.
