PET scan help! Need support

hello,

I have been monitored for IBC for 5 months now but nothing ever showed up (aside inflammation)on MRIs, punch biopsies (core never done) and ultrasound

My left breast is still bigger than the right, still have pinholes, skin thickening and areola is still thicker. And now have fatty lymph nodes. But pain and redness is gone.

5 docs have said its mastitis but aside one, the others had no real expertise of IBC aside one top notch.

I have decided to reduce my breasts as a matter of precaution am having PET scan done.

Could anyone tell me what it could show and what it could pick up?

After 5 months, if its IBC, its bound to have metasized so hoping the scan with either confirm that my symptoms are indeed innocent or confirm finally and unfortunately that it is IBC.

Any advice support would be most helpful.
