Exactly what type of problems are you having with clothes?

I pretty much have a new wardrobe. Sleeves are often tight due to LE and the lack of a "muffin top" courtesy of DIEP reconstruction means my pants need to be belted or they fall down! My flannel nighties are mainly retired (some people cut the arm off to accommodate their swollen extremity but I would be too warm in them to bother trying that technique anyway). I did buy a few short gowns 2 sizes larger so that the Tribute fits underneath. On occasion I will sleep in an Under Armour compression top.

Since I'm not working, I collected several tank tops for summer when even a simple t-shirt was too much during Zumba class. I try to pick things up on clearance, or at TJMaxx type stores otherwise the budget would be overwhelmed in no time at all.

Almost all my lined jackets are unwearable. Sweaters are somewhat more stretchy however I get hot therefore they are not the first item I reach for, even in cold weather. Pullovers are especially awkward when you want to strip down in a hurry. I obtained a couple open weave cardigans in year round colors like black & navy which can go with many basic outfits and slip on or off quite easily.

The best solution I found for when I was on the job last winter was a mock turtleneck with a vest as an added partial layer. Luckily they are popular right now. Many in stores are quilted or fleece, perfect for casual days. Some knitted ones are a little dressier. People who sew can go crazy with all the fun fabrics out there...

My 'winter uniform' is turtlenecks under a sweatshirt, sweater, or flannel shirt.  It has been for many years before LE and still almost 4 yrs into LE.  My LE does not effect the size I wear.  Almost all my tops are S and have no issues with being too tight.  Some of my sweatshirts are M because I like them a bit baggy but not because of my LE.

We are all so unique!    I will be so happy when it gets warm again so my LE is not as much an issue as it is in winter.

kicks what kind of a sleeve do you wear? Without the sleeve my clothes look fine but with the sleeve they pull under arm and twist

My sleeves and gloves are custom Juzo Experts.  I'm weird and nothing 'off the shelf' fits me - hand/fingers somewhat webbed (toes are worse) and arms too long for the circumference - so I'm a knuckle dragging duck .

I have a band of silicone dots added to the top which keeps it in place for me.  Early on, I had 2 without the dots and they did not stay in place at all - rolled, turned, slipped, not comfy at all.  With the dot band, I  can go all day no matter what I do (flyfishing, mowimg, riding, bucking hay, etc) without having to readjust it.  One of those early 2 was a different material and I did not like it at all - made me think of stretch pants from the 60's and was 'shocky' (I have a lot of problems with getting shocked by static electricity and it was really bad when I wore that one).

kicks, that is a spooky thought about a static electricity shock from your sleeve. Makes me shudder to think of it!

In a way, to me, not that 'spooky' for me.  Static electricity has always been an issue for me as long as I can remember.  I'll get 'zapped' all the time when no one else is.  Nobody has ever been able to explain why - it just happens.  Some materials in clothing make it worse as that sleeve did.  I had a horse years ago that when it was cold and dry, he'd zap me all the time - nobody else ever had a problem with him.  Hubby originally thought I was 'crazy' and nothing was going on il he actually saw the sparks jump to me.  Oh well - I've learned how to handle it most of the time.  Like I've said - I'm weird!

...or you're a superhero who will soon learn to use her spark-emitting powers for the good of all mankind...
