I had never heard of Black Friday Shopping, but after being enlightened, by new friends here,I can now say, I have taken part in your tradition. I had a great time on the internet, getting great bargains! My credit card is a little worse for wear, but who can resist a bargain?

Looks like online is much safer after watching news reports of black Friday shoppers pushing each other to the ground .....that's crazy rude.

I sent my youngest ds to stand in line at Wal-Mart for one of those 100$ 32 inch tvs. He did fine, only took him 2 hours of standing in line on Thanksgiving evening, but well worth the wait. Our store wasn't too bad, but at another store in NC they were having fist fights over those things. I got mine for dear gs, who will probably be the only 3 year old in the neighborhood with a 32 inch tv in his room. But great for the games and videos that take a lot of action.

The news reels of pushing and shoving have been impressive. I'm trying very hard this year to keep everything with local small businesses. So essentially small business Saturday. However, I'll try to get out during the weekday and avoid the crowds from actual small business Saturday!

I have had some great bargains over the last 2 weekend.  I went to Macy's last Saturday and spent 332.00 but saved 375.00 I was happy with that.  Went to Jc Penney's spent 68. and saved 75.00 went to American Eagle spent 92. and saved 89.00.  I shop on a budget and every little bit that I save is a little bit more I get to spend on Christmas. 

I don't partake in the early morning BF shopping, I go once I get off work, that way all the craziness is over and done with.

I did Black Friday once in the early years. My Walmart (my personal vision of hell) wasn't bad and people were quite helpful. While we stood in the endless line we'd spy things in other people's carts. My dd would ask where they found them and then scurry off to get it while I remained in line. By the time we got to the cash register we'd bought far more than planned. What a trip!
