Hi all,

I'm BRCA1 positive. I've participated in other areas of this forum, but not here in the BRCA topic.

I got my mutation from my mom, who passed away last year and I had a prophylactic mastectomy, reconstruction at NOLA and hysterectomy. I've been doing very well since then and beat cancer to the punch.

I'm writing now because since my surgeries, I've been on a mission to educate, support and help uplift women who are going through the same thing. I write a column on BRCA (and other things) on Huffington Post and last year I wrote a one-woman musical comedy called "The Mutant Diaries: Unzipping My Genes" that has entertained people in the US and UK for the past year and I'm really excited to be making a DVD of it now, so that it can help people whose cities I can't get to personally.

If you'd like to find out more about the show or the DVD, please see: http://mutantdiaries.com

I hope it's ok for me to post about this here. Let me know if any of you are going to the FORCE conference in 2014. I'll be presenting there and would love to meet you.

Thanks!

Eva Moon
