I just heard back from hospital and my Lumpectomy is booked for Dec 17.

Looking forward to Thanksgiving and getting prepared for Christmas. Just worried it will fly by too fast... I have so much to do!

Andrea, I had one; its no big deal at all. Hopefully they will get even margins the first go around but if not not a big deal to go back and make sure they have them either. I imagine since they haven't done the lumpectomy yet you don't know what the treatment plan will be. Do you know what Stage and Grade your tumor is realizing the stage can change after you get the Path report after the surgery. Good luck. Try and enjoy the holidays...diane

They think it is Stage 1 and Grade 1. Of course I am hoping for 0 nodes... Won't know that until after surgery.

Positive for Esteogen and Projesterone receptors. No results yet on protein.

Still riding the emotional roller coaster, I do have meds if I need them.

I wish there was someway to know that I am making the right decision having a lumpectomy. Like everyone else I just want to know I made the best choice and be rid if cancer for good!!
