Diagnosed with Breast Cancer and now RA

I will be having a lumpectomy on December 3rd with radiation treatment.  Will not know if I need chemo until after surgery.  I was also just diagnosed with RA but have not seen a rheumatologist until after my lumpectomy.  How will my breast cancer treatment change what they might want to do for my RA or will they wait?

    ipteacher, so sorry to hear you've had another shock diagnosis. I can't really help you with answers about your treatment, but just wanted to say Hi.


    I was Dx with RA 17years ago, and was Dx with DCIS last year and had a Mx last Christmas. There wasn't any change to my normal routine for the RA which is steroid based medication.


    There are others on these boards with RA too, you may want to search for those threads and make contact with them.
