New research: "Crispr" gene therapy?

I saw this headline the other day. I am high risk, possibly due to genetics, so this was exciting. I cannot find anything regarding the possible application of this technology to BRCA or other genes. Does anyone have access to a doctor that keeps up with new research? I realize that nothing here may amount to anything, but for those of us contemplating possible surgeries, having something like this available in 5 or 10 years could be a game changer.
