I'm only 15 years old and I'm vary afried. I just woke up and jumped out of the shower and I seen a red spot on my right breast and I don't know what to do

Whenever I press on it the red fades and there's a small lump. I'm really scared and it doesn't hurt or anything

I wanna tell my mom but I'm afried it might be cancer. My family already lost alot of my people from cancer and I don't want them to worry so what should I do please help!! I'm afried :(

Talk to your mom about getting checked by your doctor. Benign cysts and fibroadenomas are very common lumps in teenagers, or it could be an infection. While not completely impossible, it is statistically close to impossible that you have cancer.

    Hello Doll15

I am not an expert but do know that breast cancer is relatively rare in teenagers. I am a Mom though ( of a 16 year old ) and I would want my daughter to come to me with ANY problem or concern.....you need to talk to your Mom ASAP and show her what is concerning you ......I am sure your Mom loves you very much and will want to help you and get this checked out by a Doctor . This is not something to keep secret. As a Mom I would feel sooooo bad if my daughter felt she could not come to me ...That's what Moms are for.

If you cant (for some reason) tell your Mom ....there must be a school nurse or an adult you feel comfortable telling ?
