Anyone who is post tamoxifen -4 yrs

I had it have an inter uterine. Biopsy cause had some light bleeding and staining. Stopped tamoxifen 4 yrs ago- at my yearly check up with/ oncologisthi said one usually u get staining or

Bleeding while on tamoxifen not 4 years after you have stopped so bit nervous about that.Anyone else have feedback on that

I am assuming, like me, you are post menopause? although I am still on tamoxifen - will be done Aug 2014 - I am scheduled for a hysteroscopy and d&c due to spotting and based on a transvaginal ultrasound - thickening of the uterine lining and a polyp. The diagnostic radiologist told me that the tamoxifen can cause thickening of the uterine lining and spotting but that a few months after stopping tamoxifen - the lining should shrink - quite a bit if post- menopausal. I would think that for you, four years after stopping tamoxifen - tamoxifen is not causing your spotting - but, even if it were the tamoxifen - you need to get this checked out. There are many possible reasons (non-cancer) reasons for spotting - you just need to get it checked. Good luck

hi I did have biopsy. It was benign

I had no thickening at all In my uterus either.

I don't have ovaries. My gynecologist

Isn't concerned. So I guess if it happens again then maybe they will do surgery -?/ I asked gynecologist & he said we just don't do a hysterectomy unless you have to

So I guess I'm ok with that - I'm at a teaching hospital that us very big in cancer research - guess I have to trust someone -

Heartbroken, you absolutely MUST trust your doctors/team! If you don't trust them you need to start looking for new docs you do trust. Best wishes!
