Going back to work after BMX

how long did you stay out of work after a BMX with SNB? Tomorrow makes 6 weeks for me. I do not do any heavy lifting at work but I am still having a lot of muscle spams. Today was my last fill so I'm hoping it settles in a few days. I feel kind of rushed but I was told 4-6 weeks when I had my gallbladder out and begged to go back sooner. I'm just not feeling mentally ready....does this make sense or do I just need to bite the bullet and do it?

i think its different for each of us. I am 3 months out from mine and still feel like crap but i had complications. Do you have an option of trying and seeing how it goes or working shorter hours for a few days? I hope if you do go back that it turns out ok for you. Some people find it easier to be busy but if you don't have the strength it can be tough. Hoping formthe best for you.

I was off for two months. Today was my first day back. I returned with restrictions of light duty so I am doing a desk job. Due to complications, I have only had one small fill to date. My next one is scheduled for 11/15. It was a long day, I'm beat. I'd stay off longer if I had the option. Good luck to you.

My surgeon advised 2-3 weeks I could go back (I have a desk job).  I did go back after three weeks.  I think two weeks would have been crazy.  My employer was flexible about my going to PT and doing the fills after I got back so it was OK.   Mentally I would have liked more of a break, but it gave me something to do besides think about cancer.
