Ductal Carcinoma

I have questions on Ductal Carcinoma, I was just DXs with this cancer, and would like to know as much about it as I can, before I have surgery. Thank You.

    Nancy, I'm sorry you've been diagnosed.


    Is it invasive (or infiltrating) ductal carcinoma (IDC) or is it ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS)? There is a significant difference

    Nancy, there is a specific discussion board for Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) as well as boards for the different stages I through IV for when you learn your BC stage. In addition to these discussion boards, BCO contains much reference information in easy to understand language all about breast cancer go back to www.breastcancer.org and look in the upper left, I would just start clicking away on the topics and reading the first two columns.  I strongly encourage you to explore all that BCO has to offer. The board you have posted in on for people with breast cancer AND some other diagnosis. You will get more responses if you post questions about Invasive Ductal Carcinoma on that board.
