Anyone with IDC and getting injections.

I have IDC and was curious about injections.


If so, what medicine is administered? How often do you go? How long do they take? Side effects?

    What kind of injections? What are they called? Are you currently getting chemotherapy? More information about these injections would help us answer your questions.

    I was asking in general, opposed to IV. I did not know if injections were a possibilty with IDC. Right now it is looking like TAC, according to today's appointment. BUT, I would like injections, so that I did not have to get a port, ect. Was just looking for general info...

    Does that make sensE?

    eartman, I just read your other posts in order to get a clearer understanding of your situation and what you are asking.


    If I understand correctly, you haven't have surgery yet and it's been recommended that you have neoadjuvant chemo (i.e. chemo before surgery) in order to shrink a 4cm tumor. That's a very specific situation. I am not aware of any injections that could be done instead of the chemo infusions in that type of situation. But perhaps someone else is....

    eartman, not everyone needs a port for chemotherapy infusions.  I chose not to have one, but "only" had 4 rounds of TC.
