Hi everyone, I'm new to this site but having problems with my legs starting about 4 weeks after surgery. Feb 2013- Left breast removed -2 lymphs also.

I see a lot about problems with the arms but have visited caqncer sites that say that seem to report problems with the legs also. My Internal Medicine doc has eliminated other causes of leg pain, blood clots, heart problems, etc, but I don't have a diagnosis of the cause of this excruciating leg pain. It happens at night and takes most of the day to work out the pain. This has been debilitating. I'm not asking for a diagnosis but wonder if anyone else has gone through this. Thanks to everyone out there, it's so nice to talk with people that have 'been there'. From everything I've read, I go back to lymphydema.

I have LE in both legs. I also have neuropathy but I blame my leg pain on the neuropathy. Do you have swelling that is not normal in the leg too? Have you been to a PT for any measurements? If you have swelling does it go down when your legs are up?

Sorry lots of questions. My legs get really tight feeling when they are swollen bad. I have an area that swells just below the knee on one leg and on the other leg it's above the knee. The more we know the more we can help. Hopefully Benny will see this and get you in the right direction.

There is slight swelling in the affected leg.I have not had measurements. I'll be seeing a new doctor this week. My leg pain starts at the back of the knee and radiates. It feels like it's in a vise. Impossible to sleep with the pain being around an 8. It has to be related to the cancer surgery because thats when it started. Pain goes to about a 2 during the day when I've worked the pain out with movement.

thanks for your reply, maybe we can get some answers. I'll let you know if the new doc gives me any answers.
