Hi there I've been here before about 12 months ago was worried about something different I'm quite an anxious person and worry about the littlest things :( ...

I have only just noticed that on BOTH breasts I have broken capillaries close to the surface all around the nipples and extending about 3 inches out sounds fine eh !! Lol well they are new for me and I'm 41 had a baby 12 months ago ( did not breast feed ) but my breasts Are very large with fine skin and the skin is quite thin/ stretched.

Is it normal to see red tiny veins all over them? Slightly more so in right than left no swelling skin changes heat etc does anyone else have this or seen this I'm worried it's a sign of IBC even though bilateral ? I'm seeing a breast surgeon Monday is this a normal aging appearance or should I be more worried than I already am ? Thanks so much

Sounds like perfectly normal breast changes from pregnancy to me. Glad you're getting it checked out.

Does not sound at all like IBC.  Probably just signs of ageing and the stress of pregnancy at a somewhat 'older' age.  An appointment with OB/GYN or PC would be the first appointment I'd make - not with a Surgeon.

Thanks guys I do have a strange red mark at the site of one of the capillaries and am wondering if it burst or clotted as its quite dark like two mosquito bites that won't go away does that sound at all like IBC ? When the Breast is warm or I'm stressed both take on a rash or flushed appearance but it is in both ?

NO! iBC does NOT look like a Skeeter (mosquito) 'bite'!

I grew up in SW FL so have had thousands/millions of 'skeeter' bites and I NEVER had "quite dark" spots.

She is not a "scammer". She was here last year and clearly stated she suffers from anxiety so please don't be unkind.

Ok I figure the red 'rash' I get on both breasts when hot is the capillaries coming to the surface to cool down and turns the breast a motly colour ?? And the veins that are there all the time are spider veins??? Would this make sense? Does anyone else get it when hot and does anyone else have spider veins or can see tiny purple veins on their breasts ?? Please is it normal ??

Have to tell you that mine did look like a spider bite--did not have capilleries or veins protruding.

Thanks so much ladies :) IBC mets what does a spider bite look like? My blotchinrss is definately tiny capillaries coming to the surface and the spider veins are there all the time the blotchinrss is not there when I get out of bed but quickly shows when I stand up wonder of its extra blood flow because I'm big breasted in any case I'll ask Monday but are you saying the rash with inflammatory cancer does not look like or have any association with capillaries ???? Thanks so much for listening it's hard when fuelled by anxiety :( xx

Thanks Bon it's so debilitating :((( Thanks ladies saw breast surgeon this morning and she said my breasts are nice and soft no skin changes or inflammation etc she said they are just spider nevi from pressure ( I guess big heavy breasts hang all day ;) ) and that she has never seen spider nevi associated with breast cancer I sure hope she is right she said women go to her with them to assess before getting them removed for cosmetic reasons and that even though she knows I'm anxious if she were worried she would explain to me why and do testing ...she said its not a rash purely tiny veins. I will try very hard to move on and of course keep and eye for any other changes and hope none come lol thanks for the support and good luck to you all your such a blessing to take time out to help reassure women like myself xxxx

We hope that you can join our more "fun" threads to help you get your mind off of it, for now. And glad you have an appointment in January. We're here for you

Smb78 I suggest you start a new post if you want responses, however I suggest you try to do more helpful things that might reduce your anxiety! (Yoga, meditation, exercise etc.)

The symptoms of the original poster - which apparently you are having - do NOT sound like IBC
