Can LE in the Back of the Upper Arm Cause Fatigue?

I have LE in the back of the upper arms (as well as down the sides of the chest and possibly the armpits).

I was wondering if anyone thinks that LE can cause those areas to become tired, weak or fatigued?

cinnamon- as far as my experience goes with the back of the arm ...absolutely, I'm sorry to say. With me that's not the only place. I find sometimes a real tiredness on the upper arms in general when I'm like hanging the washing out, or when I have my arms out/up in front of me doing something.

Cinnamon, there are even some LE researchers who theorize that it can cause generalized fatigue--but that has never been studied. It HAS been shown to be important to do some very gentle and gradual stretching and strength-building in our affected areas. Gaining strength helps us avoid injuries caused by a weakened arm or hand. Carol57 is our LE exercise guru, so I hope she'll be along soon to add some encouraging words.

    Gentle hugs,

Cinnamon, I think it makes your arm feel fatigued, but I'm not sure it's muscle fatigue. I find that there's an arm fatigue sensation that has nothing to do with my muscles.

Both my arms are equally strong, which I know from lifting heavy weights in the gym for several years. When I lift dumbbells, or just lift stuff in daily life, the LE arm does just fine. It does not fail any sooner than my other arm when doing lifting reps. But it feels tired, fatigued, and just plain worn out a little while later. When I kayak for long days, my LE arm gets tired when the other arm feels nothing. So I wonder: Is the feeling really one of fatigue, or just some clone sensation, the result of too much lymph sending us signals that feel just like fatigue, even if the arm isn't really tired. Does that make sense? I know that my LE arm is capable of doing what my other arm does. It just feels different.

And I'm not saying that your arm isn't genuinely fatigued, or that anyone with LE should push through fatigue and lift heavy objects or do repetitive work. I just think LE presents in the craziest ways, and in my case, something gets tired in my arm, but it's not the muscles! I really wish I could figure this stupid condition out.
