Anyone have WBC drop with radiation

im 2 weeks out from radiation. My WBC after done withe chemo was 5.6. Then 2 weeks radiation 3.6 & now 2 weeks since rads it 2.9. My platlets dropped slightly as well. Anyone have this happen to them? If so how long til your counts recovered? It's worrying me a lot.

    talk to your RO doc about this but I do remember mine as dropping during rads. I did not do chemo but my then asst was a nursing student and loved to look at my blood results, she was so happy when mine started rising!


    I know that is weird but do ask the RO as it is a valid concern

    I did chemo and afterward all my blood counts started recovering. Two weeks into radiation, my WBC began dropping - but my MO said he wasn't worried. I assume this means it's a normal thing during radiation. Hope that helps!
