NJ breast cancer patients get free meals from pharmaceutical company

Although most of the meals are delivered by Meals on Wheels, the food service for home-bound seniors, Eisai also encourages its employees to make some deliveries themselves.

Eisai requires that every employee spend three days a year with patients, to better understand the reality of their daily lives, said Lynn Kenney, a company spokeswoman.

"As the CEO in Japan puts it, ‘Breathe the same air,’ " she said.
