barb, either will work as long as you have a good fitter who can help you order the best features for you. The Jovipak shoulder-torso garment is fine, but you don't need the "sling" feature on it, which is for women whose arm is unmovable due to brachial plexus problems. It does look like it might be lighter than a full vest, though, if you're concerned about that. Do you have an experienced fitter?

Most of the women here have found the customer service is better with Tribute than with JoviPak, but your fitter may have a preference of which one they're most comfortable dealing with.

Let us know how it goes!

I have both and prefer the Tribute. But everybody's different!

I have not tried the Solaris Vest but I will say I hate the Jovipak shoulder-torso garment but mine also had an arm attached. Good luck.

KittyDog, what do you hate about it? Does it feel unbalanced? Hard to get on? Don't like the fabric?

    Thanks!

I had the Jovipak night sleeve for my arm for a year and a half and really liked it. But my trunk and breast LE was getting worse. Plus Jovipak would only alter after I lost 70 lbs for a lot of money. I was having to wrap over it at night. So I went with the Solaris Tribute arm sleeve and vest. My arm sleeve attaches to the vest then an overjacket. I really, really like it too. Not as soft as the Jovipak but okay. I had the gauntlet part of the Jovipak attached but with my Solaris I have the gauntlet separate. I have had it since December and it brings such relief. My therapist took a lot of time to measure me very carefully but Solaris called her back several times to make sure the measurements were accurate. She even called me back in for another measurement they wanted. Plus they will do one alteration free IF I ever lose the last 20 lbs! With Solaris customer service I would recommend it plus arm is not anchored.

Benny. I didn't like the sleeve being attached I think more than anything and it was so heavy. I also thought it need to be about two inches longer in the torso and curved slightly at the neck. I should have known better because it was the first time this fitter had measured and ordered one. I also think being a uni made it miserable to sleep in. I was told to wear it over the bra...umm not comfortable at all.

Over a bra?! Aaaaagh! (Where are those shocked emoticons when you need them?)

And I can sure see where the attached arm would be a problem--mine attaches with a snap so I can decide how I want to wear it. That product was actually designed for a "dependent" (non-functional) arm, BTW, where an attached sleeve probably makes more sense (as does the sling).

    Thanks for the explanation,
    Binney
