Leg pain

I have just completed the first round of FEC and a week later like an old women with terrible pains in my left leg akin to those that you get in the muscles when you have flu. I have been told to take over the counter pain killers but they are not making life easy as i live on my own and am pretty much confined to the house during this period. i have read on another website that people have used Claritin before and during their treatment does anyone have other drugs that they have found useful as this side effect is not acceptable and i don't give in to things even when I am told that there is no alternative. Thanks.
