Long term post chemo hair growth

I finished chemo last July and recently just got my first haircut with my new hair (yippee!). My pre-chemo hair was straight as a board (I used to get perms all the time) and it grew back really soft and curly. I actually really like the curl and wonder if it will stay or grow out straight again. Anybody's hair revert back to pre-treatment type?

my hair was curly but after chemo it came back straight. It took about two years for the curl to come back.

My hair was bone straight pre-chemo. Came back curly post-chemo. I used to get perms all the time also and I loved the curl. Unfortunately, it only lasted for about a year, it is again straight as a bone. LOL.

Straight before chemo, cute curly after for a whole year, and then BOOM, in one haircut it was totally straight again.....weird!

Stick-straight prior to chemo. Even curling my hair lasted only a short time. Post chemo, soft curls, but then again have always had fine hair. After washing it looks straight but with product and scrunching I still have curls - over 16 years later. So it's looking like you'll just have to wait and see what happens it's yours.

Nearly three years post chemo, my previously straight hair still curls on the ends.

I will manage the hair, however it comes. Not having hair was the worst part of this process for me!

I'm a year and a half past chemo and my hair is basically back to normal.

Went from straight to curly - has been 1 year and 8 months or so since the last chemo. Still curly. Seems different for everyone.Mine is also thin in spots but you can't tell because of the curl, so I'm hoping it sticks. Just in case, I'm taking biotin in hopes of thickening it up some.

my hair is still curly. There are days I don't know what to do with it! Lol! When I see/hear someone say something about a bad hair day I secretly laugh. To me, a no hair day was worse.
