Nope, not joking. Saw this on my Facebook timeline yesterday. I commented that I didn't realize breast cancer could be 'foiled' with free ham dinners. Local office replied that they are giving dinners to nominees and also wrapping hams in pink foil, $1 of which will go towards funding mammograms.



Access to mammograms and free dinners for people in treatment are fine, but neither 'foils' (defeats or thwarts) breast cancer and I shared that it was a poor choice of promotional slogan. Maybe their marketing department doesn't know the meaning of 'foils' or maybe they do but just don't care cause it's just so catchy with their stupid pink foil promotion, but it pissed me off. Can't find a corporate contact to share this with or I would do that too.
