Vitus Bering-a Danish explorer and navigator who explored the seas off Alaska and northeastern Siberia.
Alexander Graham Bell- the telephone

Copernicus — In the 1500s he challenged the theory that Earth was the center of the universe. His theory was that the planets orbit around the Sun which of course is correct.

Alfred Nobel:
He invented dynamite and other explosives. The businesses Nobel set up to manufacture explosives in the 1870s and 1880s made him a fortune. In 1895 he set aside most of it to establish annual prizes in Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Literature and Peace. An Economics Prize was added later. Called the Nobel Prize, they are the most prestigious prizes in science.
Isaac Newton:
Newton's contribution to the Scientific Revolution included greatly furthering our understanding of the laws of motion, how gravity works and the nature of light and colour. Although modern physics explains matter and energy in a very different way, many of Newton's ideas are still useful today, and have provided the basis for modern science.
