My first two days after my 1st chemo were uneventfull. Yesterday, I didn't get out of bed, and the nausea is depressing. Every where I go the smells are overwhelming, everything smells like chemicals. Anyone else experience this increase in smell and nausea? What did you do?

Hi there. I too had a hyper sensitive sense of smell during my AC cycles of chemo. I couldn't stand to be around anyone wearing perfume. I remember someone spraying an aerosol spray once and feeling like I was going to faint...my chest and head hurt so bad. I also could not stand the smell of certain foods. When I was out driving, the smell of gasoline would make me sick. I would wear a face mask to cover my nose/mouth and that helped some. I just hated the staring that came along with that though. I also had nausea but the zofram helped with that. Also there's ginger hard candy that helped. Are you taking anything for the nausea? Hope you're feeling better soon.

Hey there, I finished chemo on aug 22.  I had a weird smell thing too and taste also. What I found with A/C is that each cycle was a bit different in what I could or wanted to eat. It was strange ! It was hard to plan for and stay ahead of the side effects. Good luck, hope you are feeling better  And Zofran also took all the nausea away for me as well.
