What is fatty hilum?

My ultrasound report starts that a stable lymph node is reniform (kidney) in shape with maintained fatty hilum.  What is fatty hilum? Is it a good or bad thing?

It's a good thing. It's the absence of fatty hilum that gets radiologists concerned.

Reniform is also good. Round nodes are suspicious.
