I'm coming up to one year since chemo finished. Rads finished in Jan 2013. Anyone experience a hardness on the side where you had your cancer and nodes removed. When I lift my arm up it feels wierd def not like the other side. Is this hardness normal?

Hi , Angie, others will chime in to share their experience, but I will say for myself. I am over three years out of active treatment and my underarm is still hard too.I don't see your node status, but guess you must have some removed too. Mine has no lumps there, but it's hard. Sometimes I feel heaviness as well. I don't like the feeling, but I am sure it's normal, since I have checked on ultrasound lots of time and it's been clean. Don't worry too much. In time you will adjust with the surgery/ treatment consequences.

I wish you all the best.

Oh my yes!  I had a lot of nodes removed and there is a hard area right under the incision.  It's normal to be like that and after a while, you'll kind of "get" what your new body feels like.

    Take care,

    Sharon
