Core Biopsy

I just had a core biopsy on my right breast but close to my underarm. They also did an ultrasound under my arm I guess to check the lymph nodes.

They told me there were 2 areas that looked like microcalcifications so the biopsy consisted of 2 incisions where they took a total of 10 tissue samples.

I feel nervous about the microcalcifications themselves but also the location & the fact that they took 10 samples. They also implanted 2 titanium chips in case the surgeon has to go back in. Should I be worried?

This is normal procedure for hollow core biopsies.  It is standard to take about half a dozen samples from each area and then place the marker to identify the area from which the samples are taken.  The markers are also there so the area can be identified on any future imaging - like a mammogram or ultrasound.
