Started my Effexor Friday evening.....will keep you posted. As of this week, really having problems with insomnia and tremors in my hands. Also, the joint pain in my fingers is killer when I wake up in the morning.
I've had insomnia problems in the past, where I just couldn't get to sleep......this is waking up 100 times a night. I finally got up at 2:30 this morning, thinking it's got to be almost morning by now. NOT! Decided to just stay up and put myself to work. This is nuts...........
taugekids6 - The Ses from Tamox can be a pain - the effexor has helped me quite a bit. My onc started me on 37.5mg & then when I told him I was waking up at least once a night with hot flashes, he said go ahead and double it. There are alternatives so don't get discouraged - and sometimes the SEs go away on their own after a bit. Best wishes.
I'm supposed to double after one week and then after a week of that, I'll be up to 150mg a day and stay on that dose. Maybe because of the depression/anxiety?
