Halaven (eribulin) and hair loss
For anyone taking this med did you lose your hair or did it just thin out? My onc said one thing and my nurse said another so I am not sure what to expect. I guess it is the least of my worries since I just want the med to work.

I've was on Halaven from Feb 19th until six weeks ago (currently on break). My hair had already thinned from being on Navelbine and Gemzar. Can't say I've noticed any more thinning since I started Halaven. My hair was pretty thick before I started Navelbine (Feb of 12), so it's not that noticeable to most people.

Funny, I was going to start the exact same thread! My hair has never bounced back from previous chemos even though they were 2-3 years ago. I used to have thick, luxurious hair. Hah. Now it's a mousy, dull brown and very thin. If I go bald, oh, well, but I can't imagine being, I don't know, half-bald?! I guess I'll have to wait and see since I've only had 2 treatments so far.

I lost all of my hair in the first 2 cycles and then it started o grow back.

I was already BALD from Abraxane when the doc changed me over to Halaven. I am still bald but it is growing a bit. There is a tiny bit of blonde fuzz on my head now. Even my DH noticed my new hair. It sounds ridiculous, but even a tiny bit of blonde fuzz beats really & truly bald!

I just started Halaven and had my second infusion yesterday. I've not lost any hair yet but hear that it should start after this cycle. I had just come off of Doxil, which the lit says a 30% chance of hair loss. I was in the 70%. I've lost my hair twice, and each time it has come back thicker than before--the first time curly (originally thin, straight, and limp); the second time thick and coarse, but that is probably due to more salt than before.
If I lose it this time I'm thinking of a henna tattoo before the weather turns cold. I'm open to design ideas. I was thinking of Celtic knots but think that might look to much like a brain.

I started Halaven (eribulin). I was on Doxil before and 4 other chemos before that over a 3 1/2 period of time.
I've alost all my hair on Halaven but hopefully the drug will work. I've come to the conclusion that I want to live and if this is part of that process I will forge ahead (ha ha).. Just want to eventually feel human again.
Ask said on a post Chem is a bitch but life is better.
Seriously thinking of trying henna to make my own statement.
How are you all feeling???
